What is Fasten up your Future?

Fasten up your Future is a seatbelt campaign for the West Midlands. The aim of this campaign is to motivate young people to wear a seatbelt, no matter the occasion, no matter how short the journey.

What did we do?

In partnership with SoMo, we created three videos together with young people in Birmingham from the communities most affected by non-seatbelt use.

Everyone is different but the young people we spoke to all had hopes and dreams they didn’t want to miss out on. The general feeling was:

“It’s easy to fasten up your seatbelt, but It’s very hard to live with the guilt of knowing that you could have done more to protect your own future and the ones you love.”

This was how the video ideas began; we worked with our young co-designers to develop ideas for the stories, the music, and scripts.
