Road Safety
We are proud to be collaborating with RoadPeace to ensure they can continue to provide support and information to those bereaved or seriously injured through road traffic collisions.
RoadPeace is the national charity for road crash victims. They provide support services, information and advocacy to those over 18 who have been bereaved or seriously injured through road traffic collisions. They also engage in evidence-based policy and campaigning work to fight for justice for victims and reduce road danger. In the West Midlands, RoadPeace have an extremely active regional group, and are a formal member of our Road Safety Partnership.
We have zero tolerance to road incidents. So what are we doing about it?

We have zero tolerance to road incidents.
So what are we doing about it? We are taking action to tackle dangerous and anti-social driving and removing unsafe vehicles from the road. This will range from uninsured drivers, street cruising, dangerous driving and road racing.
You said it, we did it. See our action plan here:
Download the action planA public consultation was held earlier this year to highlight some of the key actions from our plan and receive feedback from residents of the West Midlands. Here are a few of the main actions that were supported:
- Removing unsafe vehicles from roads
- Deterring dangerous and anti-social driving
- Improving the road environment for all road users
- Improving occupational road risk
- Making enhancements to existing roads
