What’s happening?

Work is happening in Dudley to improve the town centre. During these works, the way you travel around the region will be different.

These works will happen in stages to minimise disruption, and will include:

  • The Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension, which will see the first phase delivered to Dudley in autumn 2025.
  • A new transport hub
  • Redevelopment of the Portersfield area of Dudley town centre
  • Road improvements

Duncan Edwards Way, Dudley

Mondays to Friday from Monday 27 January for up to three weeks between 9:30am and 3:30pm.

As part of the ongoing construction of Phase Two of the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension, piling activity will be taking place on Duncan Edwards Way, Dudley, in the coming weeks.

Traffic on Duncan Edwards Way will be reduced to one lane during off-peak times, when travelling towards Dudley on weekdays from Cinder Bank Island to Flood Street Roundabout on Duncan Edward Way.
